The SmartLane is a heavy-duty, high-security optical speed gate featuring fast retractable glass obstacles. Engineered for intensive pedestrian flow in high-traffic commercial and institutional environments, SmartLane combines advanced physical anti-intrusion deterrence with optimal user safety. Equipped with glass obstacle heights up to 2000mm, it provides an uncompromised security envelope for sensitive corporate and government infrastructure.
DIRAS® Infrared Predictive Detection: Powered by Automatic Systems’ high-density matrix of infrared beams, DIRAS® tracks user movement with predictive algorithms to detect tailgating, piggybacking, wrong-way entry, and obstruction.
Fast Retractable Obstacles: High-strength 12mm monolithic clear tempered glass leaves retract completely into the cabinet within 0.7 seconds for rapid, unhindered access.
Intrinsic Mechanical Failsafe: In the event of a power outage or fire alarm activation, the obstacle leaves automatically retract into the housing under mechanical action (no emergency battery required) to ensure immediate, free emergency egress.
Dynamic Status Lighting: Intuitive LED orientation lighting provides immediate visual feedback (Green for entry allowed, Red for unauthorized access or closure) to increase user throughput up to 60 passage cycles per minute.
Comprehensive Entrapment Protection: Features a curtain of cross-monitoring safety cells, low-level child/trolley detection cells, and controlled motor force limits compliant with European safety standard EN 16005.
Modular Housing Options: Available in basic, extended cabinet (with extra DIRAS detection cells), or hybrid configurations to blend standard 600mm lanes alongside 900mm PRM lanes within a single turnstile array.
Aesthetic Top Covers: Standard black laminate, brushed stainless steel, or customized wood top covers.
Custom Metal Coatings: High-durability PVD metallic finishes (Bronze, Gold) or custom RAL powder-coated stainless steel panels.
Access Control Hardware Integration: Recessed mounting areas for RFID card readers, QR code scanners, face recognition terminals, and barcode collectors.
